The Other Nadia Bisset

Identical Twins.
A Trusting Mother.
A Stolen Child.

Nadia and Lydia Bisset are identical mirror twins, beautiful, ethereal little girls that make people stop and stare. Carla, their young mother, is exhausted, trudging through endless days of caring for her daughters with little help from her husband, often away on long business trips. At twenty-four, Carla feels like her life has ended before it has even begun.

When a new and helpful neighbor, moves next door, the two women become fast friends, spending every day together for two weeks until Carla awakens one afternoon from a drug-induced sleep to find one of her twins, Lydia, and the new neighbor have disappeared.

Years go by and Lydia remains missing. Meanwhile, Nadia is growing into a bright, sweet, talented child, yet beneath the surface of her sunny disposition lurks a cold and calculating mind. Forced to reckon with Nadia’s growing psychopathy, Carla puts her daughter into therapy only to have her fragile hopes shattered in a single moment of truth. What Carla discovers will blow her world wide open.

A Dangerous Cult.

Carla Bisset wants nothing more than to put the tragedy of her past behind her and provide a normal life for her daughter Lydia. The abduction of Lydia’s twin, Nadia, has left the family prey to sordid media tabloids, and Lydia hounded by paparazzi.

A move to a small sleepy town in New York provides several years of respite from the public eye. But when three men are found brutally murdered in the park near the Bissets’ home, Carla finds her world once again uprooted and plunged into darkness.

For investigative journalist Katie Garrison and Detective Don Anderson, the initial search for the missing Bisset twin left a lot of dead ends.

A collaborative effort to find Nadia unravels a cunning web of deceit, betrayal, and a powerful family that will stop at nothing to fulfill its destiny.

May Eve

Lydia Bisset has lived in the shadow of her high-profile abduction for years. Throughout her childhood, she was hounded by paparazzi, bullied in school, and stalked by a group of murderous young women from a satanic coven initiated by her powerful and corrupt family.

As the scandal slowly dies down, Lydia, a sixteen-year-old scientist in the making, attempts to lead a somewhat normal life. Driven by her deep affinity for and fascination with the natural world, Lydia takes up the study of entomology and attends a summer palynology course at UCSC.

While in Santa Cruz, she is confronted by odd encounters with a gregarious young man. At first, his blatant flirtatious manner is off-putting, but in time a burgeoning attraction develops as Lydia comes to understand that he is somehow connected to her past.

When, in her palynology course, Lydia conceives of a new way to investigate the mystery of an unidentified girl killed in an accident, detectives wonder if the mystery girl belongs to the cult Lydia once lived in as a child.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of town, in a rural mountain community, a woman named Norma Hill is tormented by the thought that her stepdaughter, Patience—whose father hasn’t seen her in years—is not who she says she is.
